Welcome to That Kneady Batch

Brooke Cornelius

Owner/Baker

Flour, Family, and Thread

They say sourdough is a labor of love, and in my house, that love is the ingredient that ties everything together. I’m Brooke, the baker behind the starter and the hands behind the heat press.

By day, I run a full-time custom apparel business, T Shirt Time, where I help people bring their creative visions to life through wearable art. By morning (and often late at night!), I am a sourdough baker, tending to my wild yeast and perfecting the long-ferment loaves that feed my family and yours.

Why Sourdough?

My journey into sourdough started at home—wanting to provide my husband and children with bread that was simple, honest, and nourishing. What began as a kitchen experiment quickly turned into a passion for the science of the "stretch and fold" and the joy of a perfectly crisp crust.
For me, baking is more than a hobby; it’s a way to slow down. In a world that moves fast, sourdough reminds me to be patient and appreciate the process.

Life Between the Loaves

When I’m not covered in flour or printing shirts, you’ll find me in my favorite roles: wife and mom. My family is my "why." They are my official taste-testers, my biggest cheerleaders, and the reason there is always a little bit of chaos and a lot of laughter in our home.

Whether I’m designing a custom t-shirt or scoring a loaf of bread, my goal is always the same: to create something unique, high-quality, and made specifically for you.

Thank you for supporting my small businesses and allowing me to share a piece of my home with yours.
